SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS
The Screenwriter's Retreat is designed as a standalone project, so if you just want to come and learn about screenwriting and get started on your own screenplay, then the project has everything you need.
However, the Retreat is also where we will find the next Reels Up Creatives Production script. One of the screenplays submitted via the Retreat will be selected and will then be made by the next team of Reels Up Creatives (which will automatically include the writer!).
You do not have to submit your screenplay, but if you do want your script to be considered for the next RUC Production then there are a few requirements you will need to meet:
(We will of course share more details about this during the Retreat!)
Submission Requirements
To be eligible for consideration as the next RUC Production screenplay, your script must:
Be a maximum of 12 pages long.
Have a minimum of 8 active characters (who do/say things)
Have a maximum of 3 different locations (places where scenes happen)
Our most recent RUC Production script and how it looked on screen!
The project has been designed and budgeted to keep fees as low as possible, while still offering a unique and specialised experience for all involved.
Please get in touch with any further questions about the project fees.
Fees are used for: Staff and Guest Costs | Venue Hire | Materials and Equipment | Insurance | Misc. Costs
